"Hole in the Rock"

We have tried to remain committed to family fun nights no matter

how busy life is...even if it means just getting everyone in 

the car and then figuring out what we're going to do!

We've just got to make it happen...the kids ADORE getting time

with just our family.

This night was one of those, just get in the car and we'll figure it out

kind of nights!

We ended up driving to Papago Park and looking for the famous

"Hole in the Rock"...and thanks to my expert eye (rare!) we found it!

It was a fun little easy climb with great reward (my favorite kind of hikes!).

Up behind Ellie is the "Hole in the Rock" (you can 

see where it got it's name).  :)

Pics like these make me feel like my kids are getting so big!

We made it!

Our very determined little fireball here wanted to walk and climb

the whole way all by herself.

There was a cool little lagoon at the base of the rock that we got to

explore a little bit after the hike.

We love where we live...we love the weather and the interesting landscape,

the palm trees...

so thankful to call this home!
