Due Date!!!

Well, we definitely celebrated on our due date but not exactly the way we had planned. So, instead of going to the hospital, we went downtown to see the lights of Christmas, get some clam chowder and lobster bisque in Quincy Market, and then...we went to see White Christmas. It was a great evening with clear skies and temps in the upper 30's. Keep praying because we're hoping this little girl comes out soon. Joy has a docotor's appointment first thing tomorrow morning.

Christmas Comes Early

We got on the ball this year and Thanksgiving evening, to many people's chagrin, we decorated for Christmas. For some of you that's not so bad, but for people here you don't put Christmas up until let's say, the 23rd and then you leave it up until about mid-February. I'm using a little exaggeration for effect, but its backwards from what we're accustomed to for sure. Anyway, once again, we're trying to be as prepared as possible for our new little arrival coming any day now.
And yes, I know the star is off-centered...let's just say our tree has some issues and you've got a bad angle. Oh well.

Everything Is In Place!

Joy's Mom just arrived today! We picked her up in Providence (don't tell Joy's dr. she left the state) and grabbed Chili's on the way back--a treat at our most visited restaurant in these parts. So with Linda's (Joy's Mom) arrival and the purchase of a new hot water heater and dryer today (perfect timing on those two's part), we are officially all ready for little Baby P...uh at least as well as a first time parent can be. By the way, only 4 MORE DAYS TIL DUE DATE!

Full Term!?!? What is that?

That's right...we are (Joy is...you know) full term which officially means the baby could come at anytime now that we have passed the 37 week mark. At least this is what I'm being told which makes me a little nervous, but all the more excited at the same time. The baby seat went in the car last night so that Joy could tell her doctor who asked last week and couldn't believe we didn't have it in. As you saw the nursery is about as close as its going to be to ready. We were offered a free pregnancy picture last night by Kiddie's Kandids last night at Babies-r-us, so I made Joy do it and we ended up having this full photo shoot. It was fun and we ended up getting a free 8x10 out of it. We're enjoying our last few weeks, days, and hours of childlessness and anticipating the new world which awaits. Wow! I mean what else do you say. We're so excited to share the name too, because we feel like God has really spoken some promises over her life. We can't wait for her to be here. Wow!

Baby Room is Ready!

After many requests, we're finally posting some final shots of the baby room. Thanks to so many who helped out with manual labors of love (ie. sanding, painting, closet installing, hanging, etc.), decorating help, and beautiful gifts...we have a wonderful little nursery that is all ready for little Baby P.
Notice the name is waiting to be hung above the crib!!! Oh the suspense.
