During the month of June I spent countless hours right here.
But the pool rarely looked like this...it was usually full of kids!
Couldn't believe that I had two of my own kids in classes this year!
Left to right:
Sarah Grace, Emery Kate Marable, Duncan Ogden
Ellie and Jayden Ogden
So fun teaching my own kids and kids of long time friends!
Unfortunately, they had a lot of hours that they were not swimming...
but they did a great job of making the best of it!
Oh so patiently waiting for the last class to finish so they could go swim!
And sad faces when it was thundering and lightening one day and they couldn't
go out and swim.
But cookie dough
and Sonic drinks made up for it!
It's crazy and non-stop and long days and lots of sun...
but it's become part of what we do as part of the McDowell family.
Lots of kids, lots of memories...lots of hours together!
Thankful for my sister who got this whole thing started 30 years ago!
But for as much as we taught swimming we still really crammed a lot in...
most evenings and weekends were packed.
We spent time with a lot of friends and family so we were very grateful!
Father's Day
I'm so proud of him...it has been 3 years since his stroke and despite what
everyone said...he HAS continued to improve with every year.
He has worked so hard...his speech is better and his mind is stronger
than it has been in 3 years.
Love you, Daddy!
Sadly, the girls were not with their daddy on Father's Day,
so we sent him our love!
We drove up to Arlington and met my aunt and uncle and two of my cousins
and their kids for lunch.
We hadn't seen them in a really long time so it was fun to get together.
Here are all our kids!
We also, of course, went to a (blazing hot) Ranger's game!
Fun but hot...very very hot!
