For a kid to LOVE the water.
Of course our goal is for them to be water safe, but it's fun when it finally clicks, and they love it.

Memorial Day was this for Ellie. In the morning she was not at all excited about being in the water and swimming...but by the afternoon, she was going off the board and we couldn't get her out of the pool.
It's as simple as that--get them in the water all the time, and it'll eventually click. We're so glad we've gotten to the "fun" of swimming!!
We spent all of the day outside. Had lunch outside with the Steadmans and the Bewshers (both live within a few blocks of my parents) and then dinner outside with our long time family friends the Johns. And swam in between...
It was a fun relaxing day after a crazy weekend.
We have some really fun video of her but sadly, we don't have our cord with us to be able to download it, so it'll have to wait! But we are so proud of E!

Goggles aren't allowed on 3 year olds!! Who gave E permission to wear those? Can't wait to see my nieces swim!!!
That's so fun! I just showed Gideon all these photos to inspire him to learn-- we're headed to TX next week to swim at my dad's place! Hope it "clicks" for him, too! I might need some pointers from you on how to help him along...
