Dance Recital

Both girls took dance during the fall semester this year...

this was Gracie's first time!

They both enjoyed it but their favorite by far, was the dance recital!

I think it's the costume, the make-up, the flowers, getting to be on a stage with all the lights, etc.

PLUS--this year Grandmommie came in town for it so that made it extra special.

Here are the girls backstage waiting their turn to go on.

The whole dance was only less than a minute so I don't have any pics of them actually performing :(.

One thing to note--there was a big screen behind them so the audience could see them up close.

The kids didn't know it was going to be there but once Gracie realized it, she just wanted to 

turn around and watch herself!  Oh well!

Here are a few pics during intermission when we went and got them and Daddy gave them their flowers!

You could tell they felt super special...their little costumes were adorable

and when they ran around with their little friends from their class everyone in the audience would

ooo and ahhh...they loved it!

Here they were during the finale (which they came out late for because 

their teacher had to take them both to the bathroom at the last minute!)

Their sweet little class.  

They all got to be really good friends because it was so small.

I loved this night to focus on and celebrate these two.

They are such a joy and so full of life!
