Christmas in Edna: Time at the "farm"

This is what Trav used to call MawMaw and PawPaw's house/land.

We love going out there when we are in Edna--so relaxing, fun for the kids,
and fun time with Trav's grandparents.

At Christmas, if they've had a good crop, we usually get to pick satsumas!
(like clementines only sweeter and easier to peel!)
My kids eat dozens of them over the holidays...they are delicious!

This was Emmy's first real time to pick them...she wasn't walking yet last year
and plus they didn't have a good crop so this was her inaugural year!

And we think Sarah Grace got the prize satsuma of  the year!
It was huge...can't really tell from the picture but it was easily twice the size of the other ones.
(unfortunately, it didn't taste very good!)

Then there was lots of driving the mule, seeing the cows, playing 42 (dominoes)
and just being together.  Priceless time.

My country girl.

Good times with Poppy and Abby too!

Our crew!

All the girls.

3 of the 4 generations

I love that my kids are growing up knowing not just their
grandparents, but their great-grandparents as well.
So much sweet heritage.

Daddy and the girls

One of the finest 87 year old men you will ever meet.
Fun-loving, servant-hearted, and committed to
Jesus Christ with all his heart.
(and maybe the best looking 87 year old men you'll ever meet too!
maybe because I think he looks like Travis!)

We will never tire of going to MawMaw and PawPaw's
and will cherish every minute we are blessed to have there.

We love you guys!!
