The day of our first service as Antioch Community Church (August 7th), Travis was at Starbucks studying and met a girl who he invited to church. She came and has since become a sweet friend to our whole family.
Ellie asks many days...is Lauren coming over today?? They love her. She and I have been able to spend a good amount of time together...she boldly loves and proclaims Jesus and is such an encouragement to me as she hungers for more of God.
I'm so thankful for those divine encounters...I have often wondered, what if Trav hadn't said hi that day at Starbucks. Thankful for the way He orchestrates our lives and thankful for Travis' obedience!!
Lauren is in grad school at ASU and while she's there she's an assistant cross country coach. Several girls on her team, as a result, come to our church. Her birthday was this week so we got to celebrate her!
Our fall patio table!
The menu: potato leek soup (the Little's recipe...one of my new favs to make)
honey chicken salad
a green salad (gorgonzola, craisins, nuts, etc)
fresh bread
YUMMY!
Texas Sheet cake
(that I actually burned...not in the oven, but on the stovetop where it was
sitting on top of a burner that was left on. ummm, still trying to get
used to an electric range. not my favorite.)
My sweet sports girl...always ready for a game.
Always ready for whatever Ellie is ready for! :)
Shaina, Lauren, Payton, Taylor, Macy

Me and Lauren
and Emmy ready for bed!
(still nursing her but she gets an extra bottle
at the end of the night.)
We love you, Lauren and are so thankful you have jumped in and loved our family.
You are a blessing to us!
