This semester we did gymnastics instead of dance and the girls LOVED it.
I think they loved how active it was...they were always moving from
apparatus to apparatus and getting to do all kinds of fun new
activities. Not that they didn't love dance, but they mainly loved the dance
recital and not always as much the actual class.
I'm sure we'll revisit dance at some point but for now--I think
gymnastics has won their heart.
There really isn't a "recital" for gymnastics and the parents can always watch
(which I usually do every week).
But on their last class of the semester my mom was in town so we kind
of made a bigger deal out of it...taking pictures, etc.
