So I was super emotional this day!
Partially because Trav had been gone at this point for a week and a half,
partially because I am pregnant, partially because my baby is growing up,
but mostly because this year in Mrs. Neal's classroom has been phenomenal
and I was extremely grateful that God gave Ellie this sweet opportunity to be
in her class all year...so I was sad to see it end, sad to see this preschool
chapter in our lives close so quickly!
I guess part of it was because it was her only year of preschool, so it went
by kind of fast for me!
On the last day the kids sung songs and recited Bible verses...
I can not get over how grown-up she looks here...
and how lady-like she's sitting! :)
After the songs and verses Mrs. Neal went through all the kids
and as she handed them their certificate she spoke to who they were
and what she saw in them from having them in class this past year.
I was so proud of what she said about Ellie...
"When I think about Ellie I think about how she just loves Jesus...
and she has such a heart for the things of God. And also, she just has
such a joyful spirit!"
Of all the things she could have said about her, this was the best!
I could not have been more proud of this 5 year old!!
I could not have been more proud of this 5 year old!!
Ellie and Mrs. Neal
Ellie and Mrs. Hanenburg
(the assistant teacher--we LOVED her too!)
And of course,
Ellie and Colton!
A precious year for our Ellie.
So thankful for Mrs. Neal and Grace Community Christian School--
we couldn't have asked for a more loving, God-centered environment
for her to spend her first year of school in.
