Sarah Grace's 3rd Bday Party!

Gracie's party was so perfect for her and for what she's really loving right now...
dancing.
A very certain kind of dancing.
Like the kind you would see in a worship
dance kind of dancing.

I think it all started when Lala (Lacey) was here visiting and she showed the girls a
video on her phone of a dance that was done at
the River Church in Waltham for Easter Sunday.

Later that day Ellie and Gracie were both way into it and kept wanting us to put
music on and dance for us!

So when Jackie found a few things for Gracie's party that had a "dancing" theme,
we went with it!

The party was so fun.
Jackie did most of the work...
made the cupcakes, came up with activities, found fun decorations...
we were glad she was here!

Because it was a dancing themed party we only invited little girls
(boys can dance too I understand, but this was a girl's dance party!)

Soon after the girls arrived each one of them started making their very
own tutus!

They were super cute!  Just tool and ribbon.
(Tina was her helper...we miss you, Tina!!)

Birthday girl has got hers on!

Then Trav did his annual talk about the birthday girl...
who she is in God and the words that have been spoken over
her since before she was born.
I always love this part...even if the girls do get a little nervous...
we want them to be confident in who God has made them to be:
Trav specifically talked about how Sarah Grace is a
"daughter of the King".

Then the kids went to a little "dance class" in our hosue...
and at the beginning I gave them all crowns and told them they were ALL
daughters of the King, princesses, just like Sarah Grace.
Then instructor Kiki taught all the girls in their new tutus a worship dance!

Practicing their dance...
(Emmy wasn't quite ready to follow instructions!)

 Precious.
Kiki did such a great job teaching them.

My very favorite.

Then they performed their dance for everyone at the party!

Rebekah, Nana, Kiki, and Lauren

Adam and Reed with the birthday girl.

Happy Birthday to Gracie!

The Ellies

So this party came in the middle of a very crazy summer...I felt super rushed coming back from Dara's wedding and then getting ready to head back out to CO for iCON.
I was so thankful that Jackie did all she did to make it so special for Gracie.

A couple of days before I waited on the Lord for her party and felt like He gave me specific ideas--
and I love how the word of the Lord is always right on.
Right on for Gracie in where she is in her little heart right now.
Right on for each little girl there who not only got to learn how to dance for Jesus but
also learn a little more about their role in His heart as His daughter.

Sarah Grace had been looking forward to her birthday for months...
asking every day how many more days.
I believe with the word of the Lord (and love from her family and friends)
her heart was overflowing by the end of the day!

How we love our sweet tender-hearted Gracie.
