Between returning from Colorado for Dara's wedding
and preparing to head back out to Colorado for iCON (Antioch's International Conference)
we got to celebrate our Sarah Gracie's birthday.
I've started a new tradition of taking one last pic of them the day or two before their birthday.
(their last pic at that age...because I'm sentimental!)
We had a great day celebrating her...from morning til night!
Mimi was in town so it was fun to celebrate with her, too.
Good morning, 3 year old!
They are in a stage of LOVING to close their eyes for surprises,
so we let Ellie help lead her in to see her birthday breakfast table.
Presents and Bosa Donuts!
Our birthday morning tradition has become each family member (or household member!)
sharing what they love best about the birthday girl.
Gracie loved it!
Then we opened a few family presents.
Emmy...loving the celebration!
Then for lunch we took them to In-and-Out and Gracie's favorite...
Yogurtland!
(thanks for the skirts Mimi!)
In the afternoon we had her party (more on that),
and then afterwards got to open two more presents...
one from Mommy and Daddy:
Her very own big girl bike!
And a Baylor "dancing" skirt from my mom.
She had seen this in the Baylor bookstore when we
were in Waco this summer and literally cried when we had to
leave the store without it.
She and Ellie both love dancing in it now.
(dancing in general is a new thing Gracie has brought to our family...
she's gotten her sisters into it!)
Here she is in action.
After her party we "rode" bikes down to the park as a family.
Actaully...I pushed Gracie on her bike while she sat on it.
All the way to the park.
We have some work to do with the bike,
but we'll get there!
There are lots of ducks at the pond at our park--the kids love to
go down and feed them.
My 3 and 4 year olds!
Sarah Grace had been looking forward to her birthday for months
so it was really fun to make it a really big deal...
no errands,
no meetings for mommy,
just a whole day to celebrate our 3 year old!
