This may be one of my few "kidless" posts because I am rarely, "kidless",
But my great husband and Jackie and Randy allowed me to have 4 sweet days in
Colorado with some of my dearest friends by myself!
Colorado with some of my dearest friends by myself!
It felt very strange packing a bag all by myself and getting on a plane all by myself, etc,
but I tried to soak it all in...I missed my family so much but had precious time
reconnecting with old friends.
All because Dara was getting married!
To Tim who we all loved from the moment we met him...perfect for Dara.
The whole weekend was full of late nights, early jogs through the mountains, last minute
details, and a thousand otherthings in between...
it was a whirlwind...the best kind of whirlwind.
it was a whirlwind...the best kind of whirlwind.
A lot of the events were at Beth's house and she did an unbelievable job
with every detail...
I mean, really, who needs Pinterest when you can just copy Beth!
She has an incredible gift.
Fun treats during the lingerie shower,
The little brunch the next morning...
Perfection.
Who ever made Panera bagels look so good??
Rehearsal dinner fun...
pretty D.
Beth, Canela, and Lacey
Me and Sarah...
great to reconnect with this old friend,
we had some funny moments together that weekend,
so glad she was there!
So I knew Dara and Lisa before I knew most of these other friends (besides Sandra).
They practically lived with me my senior year because they were over all the time...
eating cookie dough, sleeping on my floor, talking about Jesus.
Sweet days. Sweet memories.
The Lord has allowed our paths to be connected all these years
(12+ I think!)
What a treasure to see God's destiny unfolding in their lives.
From the Village apartments at Baylor, to Boston, to Indo, to marriage.
God is so overwhelmingly good in the way He designs our lives
and the people in them.
My dear Lisa, all the way from Indo.
Due in November--so fun to see her baby bump!
She's been with me through every month of all my pregnancies,
fun to be there for a tiny part of hers!
Wish Tim's face was clearer here.
Overwhelmed by his bride.
As our God is with us.
Another old friend...
Heather Bonney.
Could have spent hours with this girl. She knows me very well.
Walked with me very closely the year before Trav and I started dating...
she spoke so much truth into my life.
she spoke so much truth into my life.
A treasure for sure!
Together again.
Though there was no kitchen table to sit around or mac n cheese to eat,
it was so fun to be with these old roomies!
it was so fun to be with these old roomies!
So happy for you, Dara!
You have held on to Jesus and He has given you a man who
is going to lead you into your great destiny in God.
Proud of you...
you guys are going to see the kingdom of God forcefully advanced, together.
