Trip to Texas...Part 3: Dallas (Friday)

I almost forgot...we did have the whole next day in Waco and we did get to see
some of our very best friends in the world.  The Ogdens.

And Ellie got to play with them for a couple of hours.

Love how they love each other even though they hardly see each other.
Just had a couple of pics from my phone.

They found some of Jordan's old soccer jerseys.
So cute.

Look at that little Dunc.  Such a sweety!

And of course it was fun and so life giving to my heart
to get time with Christy...as always.
I think we've been friends for close to 20 years.
Crazy!

Dallas.

A total whirlwind.
But so fun and meaningful and special.
We wanted to be a part of all we could.

Trav was the best man and so he was really wanting to be with Bret as much
as he could (especially since we live so far away and he hasn't been able
to be there for all the planning/preparation process).

Friday night was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
The older girls were in the wedding along with Trav so it was quite the family affair.

They carried a burlap sign down the aisle that said
"Here Comes the Bride"
so here they are with the bride and groom
holding the "stand in" for that sign.

Oh my goodness...

Not ready for the day when these girls will have on
wedding dresses of their own...

Ellie with GranBear and Sarah Grace with Mimi

Jackie did a great job with the rehearsal dinner...it was beautiful
and Christmasy!  So fun to be a part of a wedding at Christmas!

Here is Ellie with Aunt Libby.
Funny story: We were all staying in the same hotel and soon after we had
gotten there and were settling in Ellie somehow ended up on the elevator by
herself.  It stopped a few times as it went down and some people got on,
and then when it opened at the bottom, Libby had just arrived and was standing there!

E went right to her.  So thankful she knows Travis' extended family so well!

The rascals.
And they were rascals during this rehearsal dinner!
The other little cousin that was there, Paiton, sat so perfect and sweetly in
his chair.  My girls were a little restless to say the least!

Proof.  Mischief in the eyes.

Our family with the bride and groom.
We love Abby and are so thankful she and Bret have found each other.
We are excited that she's a part of the family!
