She is precious. I can't believe we just hit the 8 month mark. As much as I tell myself to soak every day up and enjoy it, the time still flies by. I'm going to keep trying to enjoy...even the middle of the nights (which are rare, but when I get them, I'm treasuring them...she won't need me in the middle of the night forever).
She loves:
--to roll and now crawl (part army crawl) all over the room...not a fan of staying in one place
--her sisters. it constantly blows my mind how much she takes from them...they lay on her, get in her face, tonight Ellie was trying to wrestle with her! and all the while she usually just smiles and takes it. I ask E to stop or be careful and she usually says, but mom, she likes it (and she's usually right).
yes, E and SG are dressing her! |
--riding in the car or in her stroller...so thankful for this!!
--to be in worship with me. since she's been born we've been all over the place and in different churches and places on sunday mornings...now that we are having regular services it's so fun to keep her with me for worship some. she LOVES it.
I love:
--her sweet smile that lights up our hearts. she gives her smiles out freely and we love it!
--that she will snuggle up to you when she's tired and fall asleep (or at least be content for a little while)
with Ashley ftom the Boston college team |
no, Beth hasn't visited (yet!), this was from when we were in Boston for Lacey's wedding |
--the sweet little sounds she makes when she looks up at me when she finishes eating
--that she's SO flexible! she isn't much of a crier and has such a content demeanor
--that she's a part of our family!!
Other random facts...she's eating baby food now and loves it. She takes two good naps a day and sleeps a good 12 hrs at night. She's easy to go down. Sometimes has "I just need to be held moments" in the middle of the night. And so usually, I do just that, hold her. And besides her pinching little fingers as she settles down in my arms and a sleepy mommy in the morning, it's sweet time.
...and one more note: she's been reaching with her left hand a lot. trav says it's too early to make a call, but my prediction is she's a lefty like her momma!
Happy 8 months Emily Jane!
