Today Emily turned 3 months old. What a crazy life she has had so far. Born January 4th in Boston, we brought her home to 24 Brooksdale Rd, same as her older sisters. She only called this home for 6 weeks. She said hello to all our friends, and then was with us as we all said good bye. She traveled with Trav and I in the car all the way from Boston to Texas, and since then has been to Waco, Edna, Dallas, Amarillo and everywhere in between (literally). And now on her 3 month birthday, we are in Tempe, AZ and about to move into our first place here. Wow. She has been through a lot in her little life. (this doesn't include being poked and prodded and "loved on" by her older sisters.
What I love about our sweet Emily:
1) i love that she has been with us through this crazy last two months of our lives
2) i love her tender blue eyes
3) i love how she sleeps with her hands up next to her face
4) i love that she loves to smile at her sisters
5) i love that she just smiles...a lot
6) i love that when she wakes up in the morning, even when she hasn't eaten for 12 hrs, she just lays in the bed and smiles
7) i love (most of the time) that she's already a little rivaler, a little fighter
8) i love that she looks like her sisters AND
9) i love that she has her own unique look
10) i love how she loves her pink fuzzy blanket and how it's been the one consistent thing for her when she sleeps (sleeping in different rooms, in different packnplays, on different beds)
11) i love that today sarah grace literally laid on top of her (don't worry, i got her off quick) and she didn't mind it
12) i love that she LOVES to sleep at night (day, we're working on!) thank you emily for being such a GREAT nighttime sleeper!
Life's about to settle down for us...a new normal is about to begin. Emily has no idea what normal is. She's taken more naps (by far) in her car seat than in a bed. We're all ready for "normal" to hit. But we're so thankful that we have a little trooper on our hands. It's been a wild ride and she's hung on just fine. Hopefully the next three months won't be quite so crazy!!
A few pics of her 3 month pics...taken from the Stroupes backyard in Arizona.
We love you, Emily!
