She's Here!

Ellie is beautiful and I'm sorry we're just now getting some pics on the blog. The internet connection has been too slow at the hospital, but hopefully you've gotten some emails with some pictures. She is unbelievably content, at least up to this point, which has been a blessing. Nursing is going well and she's having absolutely no problem achieving her bowel movement quotas. She seems to be alert, at least more than I thought she would be this early -- she's looking around a lot and moves those arms around a lot. If you didn't already know she was born yesterday at 5:07am (est) and weighed 7lbs 1oz and was 20 inches long. Her full name is Ellie Joy Phillips and we will be getting her official birth certificate today. Joy is doing great and was amazing in labor and has done such a good job nursing and mothering her this past day and a half. Am I blessed or what? She is great! We've already had many visitors which has been enjoyable, we got a call from our pastor Sean all the way from Dubai so that receives the long distance award and Linda (Joy's mom) has been a great support and help since she's been here. We can't thank God more for Ellie's health as well as Joy's. Praise Jesus...He is so good and so faithful!

So enough delay...on to the pictures which is what you're really waiting for even though I'm sure you have been looking at those long before reading this post. Anyway, here we go and we'll probably add more tomorrow after coming home. By the way the weather is beautiful at least from the inside. Sunny and clear but the high is about 30 with the wind chill in the teens. We even had a light ten minute snow which was pretty for Ellie's Day 2.
