How we recovered from our all night drive to Texas...
hung out in the country!
We had a Phillips family reunion last weekend but it didn't start until Friday.
We got in Thursday so we got a little time with two people that we all love so much...
MawMaw and PawPaw.
(Travis' grandparents...our kids great grandparents)
They live on "the farm" as Trav called it all growing up.
Not so much a farm...but definitely the country.
My kids love going out there...we have so many fun memories of
satsuma picking, riding the mule, finding the cows in the pasture, etc.
But our favorite part is being with MawMaw and PawPaw.
This man loves our kids so much.
And they love him so much!
The craziness of all the family converging on one place started shortly after this which we loved...
but we were so thankful for these few hours we had with just us and them,
out in the country.
I've decided it's a Psalm 23 kind of place:
green pastures
quiet waters (or goldfish ponds!)
souls restored
paths of righteousness
overflowing cups!
Seems like time there is always too short.
We love you MawMaw and PawPaw!
