an unexpected opportunity!

Ellie came out of the womb loving to play with balls.
She's been all about sports from really early on...
so soccer was a blast for her and she was eager to play something else once that was over.

We really got to know our neighbors across the street at our old house...
they had boys Ellie and Gracie's ages and Cory, the dad, was a personal hitting coach.
He had a batting cage beside his house.
So...Ellie got some practice, some pointers, and kind of started to fall in love with the game.

We had never really thought about her playing t-ball but about the time we moved to our new house, our neighbors moved to Alabama.  We were SO sad to see them go...
but they let Ellie take their son Cole's spot on his t-ball team!

The season had just started and when we asked Ellie if she wanted to play she VERY
excitedly said yes.

So for the next two months, we're a t-ball playing family!

It's super layed back since they are all really young.
She's already loving it!

Last night was her first game...

Warming up.

Cheering her on!

Her first at bat!

Crossing home plate!

Ellie takes the game very seriously...

Always in ready position!

We may be eating a few meals at the ball park these next few weeks!

Love this little athlete.

Fun times at the ball park!
