Sarah Grace is One!

So we got back to Indonesia and left 6 days later...on Sarah Grace's birthday, to head to Colorado for our international conference with all the churches worldwide in our movement. So, we had a little celebration in the airport food court! It was a memory! We'll celebrate her more now that we're back home... A side view of Gracie's classic face! This cracks me up! Ellie hates to get her hands dirty when she's eating...it was killing her to watch her sister get so messy! Ellie, by the way, wanted nothing to do with her cake on her first birthday. Gracie, on the other hand, LOVED it!! In Colorado, Trav and I had seminars, teachings, extended worship and ministry times, while the kids were in kids camp...which they loved...especially Ellie. They had fabulous teachers who loved them, played with them, and taught them about God. Ellie couldn't wait to go every morning and as soon as I picked her up she starting asking what time she went back the next day. We were so grateful to have such Godly women to invest in our kids. We were overwhelmed at how they served us so sacrificially. At the top of the mountain...we took a gondola ride up! (Her love for balls continues...)

INDONESIA

We just got back from an amazing trip to Indonesia with the college students. Here's our incredible team: We are in what they call a bachek (sp?)...it's a bicycle with a place to sit on the front. The man behind it pedals you around. These are EVERYWHERE there. Bacheks and motorcycles give cars a run for their money there!

Kristen got to Indonesia before we got there and helped "prepare the way" for us. She and her team did an amazing job. It made things so smooth and peaceful for us!

It was a trip I'll never forget. The people of Indonesia are some of the kindest, most hospitable people I have ever met. And they are FULL of faith. Praise the Lord! He did great things.

Did Our Kids Have Fun In Indonesia??

We loved being in Indonesia, even though it was SO different from what we're used to in America...food, people, bathrooms! The kids were such troopers and were super flexible. They beat jet lag the first night we were there (faster than Trav and I did!) and they were even brave enough to try some Indonesian food...but it was a good thing we brought a suitcase full of snacks. A lot of granola bar were eaten those two weeks! Here are some pics of the kids... Barbeque root chips, Gracie? Yes, these chips are made from root, not potatoes. Not my favorite...

Our team of college students were amazing. They helped so much with the kids. Letting them sleep on them, feeding them, carrying them, playing with them. We couldn't have done it without them!

Annie Kake and Ellie in Indonesia!

We have so many pics from this trip but thought I'd just start with a little tribute to two little buddies. Ellie and Annie Kate...who E affectionately calls Annie Kake. They would have been inseparable the whole trip if we had let them be! They asked about each other all day. Every time they saw each other you'd think they were seeing their long lost friend that they hadn't seen in years...even if it had only been since before naps! We went swimming at a pool one day and they had a blast!

Happy Birthday, Travis!

I tend to have a trend...I started feeling the need to update our blog about the time one of our birthdays rolls around. Well, Trav turned 31 on Monday, so here I am posting! I think it also has something to do with Spring being in the air...I love getting pictures outside and it's finally warm enough here for us to be outside! Yay!

Our sweet Gracie turned 9 months old on Trav's birthday...she's so fun and smiley, and trying her very best to crawl!
